Typical client base includes Department of Defense (DoD), United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), United States Air Force (NAVFAC), and many private companies in the Federal arena where Black & Veatch frequently teams for project execution in joint venture (JV) roles or utilizes a sub/prime contracting arrangement.

The Federal Project Manager will function in a project leadership capacity on Department of Defense contracts. In this role you will:

• Manage multiple small to medium sized Services projects
• Manage multiple Federal clients and/or projects, with specialized emphasis for the Missile Defense Agency (MDA)
• Support aspects of Business Development Obtaining new/repeat business on medium size projects; supports contract negotiations with client peers
• Reduce risk to B&V by managing profit on fixed price engineering projects, managing risk implementing new technology or working with new clients
• Act as a project manager. Among responsibilities is management of a project team. The individuals comprising this team may vary by project.

• 10+ years’ experience working with A/E design teams associated with the U.S. Department of Defense
• Experience with full project lifecycle from proposal to design to construction
• Professional Engineer (PE) License or Registered Architect (RA)
• Experience with AFCEC, NAVFAC and/or USACE
• Experience with the Missile Defense Agency (MDA)
• Ability to obtain a Security Clearance
• Experience with Business Development, Business Acumen, Execution and Leadership as referenced in the Key Responsibilities below

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
