Duration: 6+ Months contract, with potential conversion to full-time, based on performance and client need.

Onsite- 5 days/week in Overland Park, KS - Ann Arbor, MI - Cary, NC - Denver, CO - Houston, TX - Phoenix, AZ (specify worker location on submittal)
Compensation Range: $40- $46/HR W2

Medical, Dental and Vision benefits are made available after 90 days. There are no additional benefits provided during the contract period (no PTO, no Paid Holidays, etc.).

Skills:
Must have Civil3D experience along with Microstation and Bentley Openplan Modeler

Position Summary:
This opportunity with Client offers the chance to collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams within the Power Providers Market Sector, supporting Advanced Power Generation (APG) projects and building critical infrastructure for today's and tomorrow's challenges. Civil professionals contribute to site development efforts, including grading and drainage, erosion control, roadways, fencing, and underground utilities.
The Virtual Design & Data Solutions (VDDS) Staff Engineering Technician plays a key role in supporting the development of high?quality engineering deliverables for these complex infrastructure projects. Under general supervision, this position performs technical tasks requiring advanced knowledge of engineering principles and practices, with a focus on creating and modifying site development plans using advanced techniques in industry?standard design tools, such as Autodesk Civil 3D, Bentley Micro Station, and Bentley Open Plant Modeler.

Description:
Applies knowledge of standards, systems, document control, departmental guides, applicable codes and Client policies and procedures.
May review project requirements and accurately determine the correct format and contents of the required deliverables.
Proactively applies Client Quality Program to deliverables. Demonstrates personal accuracy and supports continuous improvement and change management efforts.
Reviews design inputs in order to ensure consistency. Assists to ensure deliverables are in compliance with the specific codes and standards suitable for the project.
May apply basic engineering principles and established design practices in developing moderately complex design concepts and deliverables. Begins to apply judgment and make decisions with respect to deliverables and input interpretation.
Capable of handling difficult technical assignments within an area of expertise and can provide technical guidance to other professionals.
Performs design calculations, detailed material quantities and estimates, and records.
May review the deliverables of others.
May define work assignments and maintain schedules.
May program control systems or participate in other plant start-up activities associated with a specialized area of expertise.
Coordinates with other design group personnel to review and exchange project information necessary for design development.
May support field activities. Focuses on the needs of internal clients while utilizing an understanding of external client's main interests and drivers.
Proactively seeks and shares knowledge of latest technologies and processes .
May apply judgment and makes decisions with respect to deliverables and input interpretation.

Job Requirements:
Qualification & Education:
Diploma or Certificate required. Associate or Bachelors Degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related Technology preferred.

Typically a minimum of 5 years related work experience.
