The Senior Engineering Technician in the Virtual Design & Data Solutions (VDDS) team supports civil engineering deliverables for nuclear generation projects, applying advanced knowledge in site development, grading, drainage and utility layout using tools such as Autodesk Civil 3D, Bentley Micro Station and Open Plant Modeler.

• Functions as a senior engineering technician, technical design specialist, and/or supervisor.
• Applies advanced technical expertise to solve complex design challenges within civil engineering.
• Contributes to development of innovative engineering solutions.
• Uses digital tools and design software to create, modify and maintain technical documentation and drawings.
• Provides consultation, training and oversight to other engineering technicians to ensure quality, consistency and compliance with project standards.
• Establishes and communicates design and graphic standards.
• Reviews project requirements to determine correct formats and deliverable content.
• Promotes quality and consistency across projects, groups and sections.
• Ensures deliverables comply with applicable codes and standards.
• Performs design calculations, material quantity takeoffs, estimates and documentation.
• Co‑ordinates presentations, production design and use of electronic design tools.
• Communicates project design requirements, progress and schedules.
• Supports field activities as required.

• Associate Degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related Technology.
• Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering Design Related Technology.

• Typically a minimum of 11 years of related work experience.
• Must be able to complete pre‑employment onboarding requirements (criminal, drug, etc.).
• Position is conditional on satisfying citizenship requirements outlined in 10 CFR 810.

• Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days based on manager discretion.
