Black & Veatch is growing its Industrial Manufacturing business and is seeking an experienced project manager with a background in design, construction, or operations within the manufacturing, ag/bio-process, and/or food & beverage industries. The role involves managing medium to large Engineering, Procurement, Construction, or Design Build and associated Service projects.

• Lead and support pursuit activities in collaboration with sales.
• Build trusted advisor relationships with client stakeholders and identify opportunities for additional services.
• Manage multiple projects and clients, providing technical and execution leadership during workshops, interviews, and negotiations.
• Manage a team of multi-discipline engineers to deliver detailed design projects from schematic design through construction administration.
• Mentor and train project team members and junior project managers.
• Define approach and strategy for achieving client requirements.
• Negotiate with client executive management.
• Communicate status of opportunities and potential risks with the sales and account management team.
• Understand B&V functional organizations and interfaces.
• Develop and maintain the Project Execution Plan and staffing plan.
• Responsible for project financial forecasting.
• Manage risk, including fixed price, new technology, non-domestic markets, or new clients.
• Present monthly project reviews to management.
• Develop and maintain the project Change Management Program.
• Promote disciplined project execution, forecasting accuracy, and quality outcomes across the PM community.

• Four-year bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• 9+ years of relevant experience in Industrial Manufacturing, with specific experience in Semi-conductor or Food & Beverage desired.
• Excellent communications and human relations skills.
• Strong financial acumen with experience managing invoicing, costs, change management, and overall profitability.
• Experience developing and maintaining detailed project schedules, preferably using P6 or MS Project.
• Ability to think quickly and anticipate client questions.
• Initiative, ownership, and independent drive for results.
• High ethical standards and integrity.
