Federal Temp To Perm Position
Duration: 6+ months contract, with potential extension or conversion to full-time, based on performance and client need. Location Type:
Onsite - 5 days/week in Overland Park, KS / Denver, CO / Arlington, VA / Dallas, TX (specify worker location on submittal). Compensation Range: $50-$57/HR W2. Medical, dental, and vision benefits are made available after 90 days. There are no additional benefits provided during the contract period (no PTO, no paid holidays, etc.). US Citizenship Required.
Position Summary:
The Opportunity
- Lead communication designs and coordinate with other disciplines
- Create conceptual and detailed systems designs, including producing design drawings, specifications, and design analysis deliverables
- Coordinate with a BIM/CAD team for drawing production
- Perform quality control duties and independent technical reviews
- Manage assigned budgets, scopes, and schedules
- Mentoring and providing guidance/instruction to less experienced staff members
- Other potential duties:
- May perform fieldwork and write assessment reports
- May assist with creation of design guides and templates
- May provide support to business development or pursuit activities

Architecture/Engineering (A/E) Services, Defense Program, Design/Build, Classified, and Environmental.
Job Requirements:
Qualification & Education
- Knowledge of NEC, IEEE, EIA, TIA, BICSI industry standards, codes, and best practices related to the design of Information and Communications Technology (ICT), low voltage, and telecommunications systems
- Strong knowledge of structured cabling systems from a safety and constructability perspective
- Strong knowledge of inside plant (ISP) cabling infrastructure to include telecommunications spaces and pathways, copper, and optical fiber cabling and connectivity
- Experience in outside plant (OSP) design of copper and fiber optic communication systems
- Experience in audio-visual (AV) system design
- 4+ years of experience designing applicable telecommunication systems
Minimum Qualifications

Certifications
- Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) certification (required)
- Certified Technology Specialist-Design (CTS-D) certification (preferred)
