Careers Water Facilities Team Lead Overland Park, Kansas
Garver is seeking a Water Facilities Team Leader in Overland Park, KS to build and maintain a portfolio of profitable water and wastewater projects. The projects involve studying, planning, designing, and implementing treatment facilities for water and wastewater. This senior leadership position allows the successful candidate to grow their own team and business portfolio, with autonomy to focus on revenue growth and production for a set of clients.
Project responsibilities may include planning, design, and managing a variety of projects related to water and wastewater treatment facilities. The Water Facilities Team Leader will work closely with Garver’s Overland Park Water Business Team Leader to grow our practice.
Key Responsibilities- Team Leadership: assemble, develop, mentor, and oversee a highly motivated team.
- Project Management: prepare scope-of-work and level-of-effort estimates for contract proposals; lead and manage team for successful execution of contracted scope, budget, and schedule.
- Senior Water / Wastewater Design Engineer: execute planning, design, bidding, and construction administration phases of water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
- Business Development: develop, capture, and maintain workload for the team throughout Kansas by establishing and maintaining positive relationships with clients.
- Client Service Management: develop and maintain a healthy network of clients throughout Kansas.
- Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering from an ABET accredited program.
- Licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Kansas.
- 8 or more years of similar experience in the water/wastewater utilities market with a focus on treatment.
- 5 or more years of project management experience.
- Working knowledge of presentation software such as MS PowerPoint or Keynote.
- Strong communication skills and public speaking ability.
- Master’s degree in civil or environmental engineering from an ABET accredited program.
- 5 or more years of similar experience in supporting municipalities in Kansas.
- Experience with state and/or national conference technical presentations on water/wastewater treatment topics.
- Strong existing client relationships with multiple Kansas municipal water and wastewater utilities.
