- Lead and design water and wastewater systems for various industrial clients, including power, gas processing, new energy, and food industries.
- Supervise junior engineers performing design work.
- Perform all aspects of conventional process design engineering analysis.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients.
- Participate in writing proposals.
- Lead process engineering design of water and wastewater treatment and delivery systems.
- Prepare moderately complex process engineering deliverables: PFDs, water balances, MSDs, P&IDs, equipment datasheets and specifications.
- Perform complex research and develop recommendations for equipment and materials selection.
- Manage detailed design and procurement of water treatment systems, including construction and commissioning support.
- Manage assigned budget, schedule, and quality requirements.
- Plan and conduct independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
- Review lower‑level engineering work or assignments.
- Oversee data collection and management, lead smaller production teams, and serve as project charge when assigned.
- Serve as a technical specialist and provide consultation and guidance to project teams in a specific practice area.
- Design a complete project of complex scope within an assigned practice area.
- Assist in identification of key client interests and drivers on less complex projects.
- Actively seek to understand client interests through regular contact and communication.
- Provide support to business development or pursuit activities as needed.
- Advanced knowledge of engineering design principles and applicable design guides and standards related to the assigned discipline.
- Strong written communication, drive for results, quality focus, priority setting, planning, delegation, directing others, conflict management, handling ambiguity, and building effective teams.
Requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited program. Minimum of 11 years related work experience. All applicants must be able to complete pre‑employment onboarding requirements, including criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
CertificationsProfessional Engineer registration or licensure, or willingness/ability to pursue such registration.
Work Environment / Physical DemandsTypical office and construction environments; extreme weather conditions; high noise level; safety hazards (electric currents, scaffolding, high places, chemicals); atmospheric conditions (fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, poor ventilation). Requires sitting, walking, talking, hearing, reading, writing, keyboarding, driving, filing, reaching, stooping, crouching, bending, standing for extended periods and lifting or carrying up to 40 pounds. Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment based on manager discretion, job performance, and work assignments.
