We are seeking a 5G IoT / Lab Test Engineer to support device interoperability and network validation testing in a lab environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing LTE/5G test plans, analyzing test results, collaborating with engineering teams, and ensuring accurate test execution for wireless devices and technologies.
Key Responsibilities- Review and interpret carrier interoperability testing requirements and technical documentation.
- Execute LTE and 5G feature validation test plans while ensuring all procedures are performed accurately.
- Collaborate closely with network and test engineers to verify configurations, parameters, and test scenarios.
- Perform basic analysis of cellular logs to determine test outcomes and identify issues.
- Track defects and testing issues through resolution and closure.
- Prepare and distribute regular status reports on testing progress and results.
- Escalate critical defects and issues promptly to the appropriate teams.
- Support both lab and field testing activities as required.
- Work onsite and travel occasionally (10-20%) based on project needs and testing requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in wireless device testing, validation, or telecommunications engineering.
- Hands-on experience with wireless logging and debugging tools such as QXDM, TEMS, ELT, Accuver XCAP, Shannon-DM, or similar platforms.
- Experience executing carrier certification, interoperability (IOT), lab, or field test plans.
- Working knowledge of LTE and 5G , including NSA/SA architectures, signaling procedures, IMS, call flows, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment with aggressive project timelines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with carrier certification testing and device validation.
- Understanding of wireless network protocols and mobility scenarios.
- Prior experience in a mobile device, telecom, or semiconductor environment is highly desirable.
