About the position
Location:
New Century but will need to spend a few days per month at the Hugoton, KS Plant.
The Operations Controller supports the Factory Finance Manager in delivering financial insights, governance, and operational performance across the manufacturing site. This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate cost visibility, strong financial controls, and delivering on key factory financial targets. The Operations Controller partners closely with factory leadership to provide detailed analysis, reporting, and actionable recommendations that drive cost efficiency and productivity improvements.

Supports the factory’s financial performance by gathering and analyzing financial data to provide actionable insights. The role assists in budgeting and forecasting processes, tracks key performance indicators (KPIs), and ensures factory P&L accuracy. Additionally, the Operations Controller contributes to cost management, variance analysis, and operational efficiency improvements. - Innovation
:
Regularly identifies opportunities to simplify financial processes, improve data accuracy, and enhance reporting systems. The role involves developing new tools or dashboards for performance tracking and recommending changes to optimize cost control and productivity within the factory. - Communication
:
Collaborates with the Factory Finance Manager and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on financial goals and operational strategies. The role involves communicating financial findings through clear, concise reporting and presentations to factory leadership. The Operations Controller also engages in performance reviews, helps explain variances, and supports strategic decision-making through well-documented financial insights.

- Required:
Bachelor in Commerce/Accounting/Management - Preferred: CPA
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge in P&L management, cost accounting, and factory finance.
- Analytical capabilities for evaluating factory performance metrics and developing cost-saving strategies.
- Awareness of production processes, OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), materials flow, and waste drivers.
- Experience in a manufacturing or FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) environment.
- Experience in EOM journal posting, building/maintaining financial reports
- Experience in Forecasting/Budgeting and variance analysis
- Familiarity with financial governance, audit standards, and internal controls in supply chain settings.
- Proficiency in financial modeling tools and advanced data visualization techniques (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
