Senior Associate – Investor Reporting

Purpose and

Job Summary:

The Senior Associate will guide other associates on the team to ensure timely and accurate submission of data to internal and external clients, consistently reviewing loan terms, investor, and compliance requirements. The Senior Associate will provide oversight of loan data, review and approve remittance processing, and provide a final review of reports including CREFC or other industry standard reports for the portfolios assigned.

Responsibilities
  • Guide associates in ensuring timely and accurate submission of data to internal and external clients.
  • Review loan terms, investor requirements, and compliance standards.
  • Provide oversight of loan data and perform final reviews of reports for assigned portfolios.
  • Compile and review loan/pool data for submission per CREFC guidelines and servicing agreements (including Freddie Mac securitizations).
  • Reconcile key data points with internal sources and incorporate feedback from Asset Management or Capital Markets teams.
  • Guide the investor reporting team on monthly investor reporting packages and remittance to agencies and investors.
  • Monitor payment receipts and reconcile remittances to investors, including advances and reimbursement requests.
  • Submit system data change requests and collaborate with asset management/capital markets teams on changes in loan terms or investor status.
  • Review non‑cashiering transactions and coordinate with the payments team to ensure accurate and timely shadow posting.
  • Coordinate communication with external contacts and resolve queries with internal teams.
  • Support ad‑hoc requests from Management, Servicing/Asset Management, or Capital Markets teams.
  • Create wire and ACH requests to transfer funds internally and to external clients as needed.
  • Assist in testing report enhancements and provide feedback for technology initiatives.
  • Support corporate accounting in reconciling data and transactions related to fees and remittances due.
  • Complete monthly bank reconciliations for assigned custodial accounts.
  • Review ARM adjustment rates and reconcile with contacts to ensure accurate billing and reporting.
  • Monitor new loans boarded into the servicing system and reconcile investor data with servicing data.
  • Ensure compliance with investor requirements, Lument policies, procedures, and regulatory standards governing mortgage funds.
  • Prepare documentation for RegAB, SOX, and other internal and external audits.
  • Provide superior customer service, prioritize timely and accurate responses, and work collaboratively with team members.
  • Ensure training needs, both technical and interpersonal, are met promptly.
  • Travel: minimal to no travel required.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business.
  • 3 to 5 years of direct investor reporting experience, preferably in CMBS, CLO, or other complex investment structures.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, using data from multiple sources.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant systems or software.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in daily activities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, internal & external clients, investors, legal counsel, and others.
  • Excellent customer service attitude.
  • Capability to self‑manage, work independently, and function effectively as a team member.
  • Access to sensitive and confidential information required; all information must remain internal or external as appropriate.
  • Preferred:
    Working knowledge of McCracken Strategy or a similar large‑scale servicing system.
  • Preferred:
    Experience with CLO and other complex investments.
  • Preferred:
    Basic database understanding to provide enhanced feedback to technology development teams.
  • Other projects and duties as assigned by management.
