Senior Analyst, Affordable Housing

• Support Affordable Housing Mortgage Bankers in securing and processing potential agency and non-agency loans
• Collaborate with Mortgage Bankers to deepen relationships with current and prospective clients and establish rapport with Principals and their staff
• Coordinate with internal Underwriters and Closers to identify and resolve issues during due diligence, underwriting, and closing
• Support all aspects of loan origination, including agency, FHA, and private placement executions
• Model, evaluate, and underwrite new financing opportunities
• Provide financial modeling and high-quality property and market analysis to debt investors
• Partner with Mortgage Bankers to pitch execution options
• Act as a product specialist for affordable housing products including Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and Private Placement investors
• Work with support staff, transaction managers, underwriting, and credit teams on preliminary and final loan submissions
• Order third-party reports and complete compliance requirements
• Assist Mortgage Bankers in securing debt financing for multifamily affordable housing projects under the oversight of the Transaction Manager
• Provide industry, market, business, quantitative analysis, and ad-hoc strategic and financial reporting support
• Recommend process efficiencies and work on assigned special projects
• Conduct site inspections when necessary

• Bachelor’s degree required in finance, accounting, business administration, economics, or Real Estate
• 3+ years of experience in finance, accounting, real estate, investment banking or consulting, including Real Estate Finance
• High proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint, with experience using complex spreadsheets
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills and ability to interpret financial data from multiple computer systems
• Solid understanding and experience in the affordable housing industry
• Ability to synthesize and analyze large amounts of data and communicate relevant findings
• Analytical approach to problem solving with high attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines
• Proactive and goal-oriented, with ability to work independently
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Consultative, service-oriented mindset
• Outstanding oral communication, written, and presentation skills
• Substantial organizational skills to recall transactions and their particular nuances quickly and efficiently
• Assigned to work at a Key Bank location 4+ days per week
• MBA preferred
• Proficiency in business intelligence tools a plus
• Previous experience in commercial real estate permanent lending, including CMBS, Life Insurance lending programs, Fannie Mae DUS, Freddie Mac Program, or FHA a plus
• Experience in affordable housing and LIHTC industry a plus

Demonstrates expertise in affordable housing finance, including loan origination and underwriting, while providing high-quality financial modeling and market analysis. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential for collaborating with stakeholders and managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
