The Business Banking Officer I is a self-sufficient, client-facing role responsible for managing a portfolio of small business members, developing new relationships, and delivering both lending and deposit solutions. This position is ideal for professionals with foundational experience in lending, credit, or financial services who are ready to independently manage production goals, deepen member engagement, and grow within the business banking function.

• Manage a portfolio of small business members, acting as their primary point of contact for lending and deposit needs. Portfolio assignments may include a concentrated segment such as nonprofit organizations or defined geographical territories, based on business strategy and organizational needs.
• Based on portfolio strategy and business needs, the role may be externally marketed under a segment-specific title to align with recruitment and outreach efforts. Such variations do not alter the internal job classification, pay grade, or essential responsibilities of the position.
• Identify and pursue new lending and deposit opportunities within assigned territory or portfolio.
• Perform initial credit assessments, including reviewing financial statements, and preparing loan requests.
