American Traveler is seeking a Travel Occupational Therapist for an 8‑week inpatient float pool assignment in Overland Park, Kansas, starting 03/09/2026. The role requires at least 2 years of experience, BLS certification, and a weekend‑focused schedule.

- Float position covering all inpatient units within a hospital setting
- Day shift schedule, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Weekend assignment requiring availability on Saturdays and Sundays, with an additional weekday (Thursday)
- Patient ratios of 8–10 acute care patients or 4 inpatient rehab patients
- 11‑12 OTs scheduled per day shift
- Equipment used includes Hoyer lifts, EZ Stands, BITS, Xcite, Barihab, and BURT devices
- EMR system:
Meditech - No on‑call requirements
- 8‑week contract
- Perform OT evaluations and treatments across all inpatient units
- Inpatient rehab experience is preferred
- Growing inpatient rehab unit with a collaborative OT/PT team culture
- Any color scrubs are acceptable; professional appearance is expected
- Active OT license (required if applicable)
- Minimum 2 years of OT experience, with active experience within the last 6 months
- Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start)
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible
- US SSN and DOB required for consideration
- One professional reference required (two required if licensed in Florida or Missouri)
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
