Medical Receptionist - Overland Park KS

Rockhill Women's Care is seeking an energetic individual to handle receptionist duties for our busy medical practice. We are a full-service OB/GYN practice in Kansas City with offices in Overland Park, on the campus of Menorah Medical Center, and in Lee's Summit on the campus of Saint Luke's East Hospital.

• Greet and Welcome patients & visitors (in person & on the phone)
• Register patients according to established protocols.
• Assist patients to complete all necessary forms and documentation.
• Ensure patient information is accurate.
• Answer incoming calls, schedule appointments, transfer calls as required.
• Collect co-pays and payments.
• Safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality

• Proven work experience as a Medical Office Receptionist or similar role
• Hands-on experience with office equipment (PC/scanner/fax machine/printer)
• Professional attitude and appearance
• Solid written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise.
• Excellent organizational skills
• Customer service attitude
• High school degree; additional certification a plus
• Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures and diagnosis
• Knowledge of computer and relevant software applications
• Working knowledge of healthcare insurance preferred

Starting wage range: $15-$17/hr.
