Position: Patient Care Coordinator (Float)

Description

  • Must be knowledgeable of all techniques and procedures performed within our clinics and uphold its standard for excellence. Responsible for competently and efficiently performing all tasks in a friendly, professional manner.
  • Maintain open communication and confidentiality with patients and referral sources.
  • Operate multi-line telephone system; answer, screen and forward calls, provide information, take messages, and review voice mails.
  • Document ALL patient contact information, payment information, or any other verbal communication with patient in the patient account notes.
  • Respond quickly and appropriately to patient questions and concerns.
  • Transmit information or documents to referring physicians or other businesses, using computer, mail, or fax line.
  • Accurately provide information about establishment such as location of our offices, or services provided.
Duties
  • Greet patients and assist with the completion of required paperwork
  • Manage clinic phone calls, such as scheduling new patients appointments, rescheduling appointments and fielding marketing phone calls
  • Complete transactions using POS systems, reconcile daily collections reports
  • Scan documents and maintain medical records while adhering to HIPAA
  • Take inventory, stock and clean the lobby, PT bay and other clinic areas
  • Open and close the clinic(s)
  • Verify insurance and benefits for patients
  • All other job duties as deemed appropriate by management

Position Requirements
  • Ability to use office equipment; computer, scanner, fax and phone system
  • Prior Health Care experience OR front desk experience required.
  • Great communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work quickly, yet meticulously in a fast-paced environment
  • Maintain professional appearance and appropriate attire
  • Experience with Microsoft Office preferred (Teams, Excel, Outlook)
  • Enthusiastic approach to customer service
  • Prior knowledge of insurance and insurance benefits
