Position: Application Configuration Specialist

We are launching Oro
, our next-generation platform designed to help organizations build powerful applications without writing code. Oro allows customers to create custom apps, workflows, reports, and automations tailored to their operations.

We’re looking for a Application Configuration Specialist to help design, build, and maintain applications on the Oro platform for both marketplace apps and customer implementations.

Position Overview

The Application Configuration Specialist is responsible for designing, configuring, and deploying applications within the Oro platform. This role combines elements of business analysis, application configuration, and solution design.

You will work closely with product managers, clients, and internal teams to turn real-world processes into functional, easy-to-use applications—without traditional coding.

This is a hands‑on role for someone who enjoys building systems, solving problems, and working at the intersection of technology and business processes.

Key Responsibilities Application Configuration
  • Build and configure apps in the Oro platform, including:
  • Forms and data structures
  • Workflows and automations
  • Reports, dashboards, and views
  • User roles and permissions
  • Translate business requirements into working app configurations.
  • Test and refine configurations to ensure usability and accuracy.
  • Research common business processes across industries.
  • Design and build reusable marketplace apps.
  • Document app functionality and intended use cases.
  • Continuously improve existing marketplace apps based on feedback.
Customer Implementations
  • Configure apps for new and existing clients migrating to Oro.
  • Assist with data setup, workflows, and system configuration.
  • Work with implementation and support teams to resolve issues.
Documentation & Support
  • Create app guides and configuration documentation.
  • Assist internal teams with configuration questions.
  • Help develop best practices and templates for building apps in Oro.
Required Qualifications

1–3+ years of experience in:

  • Software configuration
  • Business systems
  • CRM, ERP, CMMS, or workflow platforms
  • Strong logical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to understand and map business processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working with technology and learning new systems quickly.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Data normalization experience using Excel or other spreadsheet tools.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with:

  • Salesforce, Service Now, , Airtable, or similar platforms
  • No‑code or low‑code tools
  • Workflow automation
Basic understanding of:
  • Databases
  • Data relationships
  • Reporting tools
  • Experience in healthcare, facilities, construction, or regulated industries is a plus.
