Optomi, in partnership witha leader in providing innovative insurance solutions, is looking for a Business Analyst to join their team in Overland Park.

Position Summary:

The Business Analyst roleplays a key part in enabling business vision through technology. This position involves understanding current and desired business states, defining actionable steps to achieve outcomes, and creating innovative solutions to improve efficiency.

  • A flexible hybrid schedule (2 remote days, 3 in-office; Wednesdays all IT in-office).

  • Fast-paced, team-driven environment that values creativity, curiosity, and problem-solving.
What type of experience does the right candidate have:
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong understanding of Agile development, use cases, and user stories.
  • Skilled in project and time management with excellent communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Visio) and collaboration tools (MS Teams, SharePoint, Workfront).
  • Experience with requirement documentation and functional testing.
What the responsibilities are of the right candidate:
  • Understand current and desired business states; define actionable steps to achieve target outcomes.
  • Create innovative solutions and challenge existing processes to improve efficiency.
  • Work within Agile frameworks; decompose complex problems into manageable assignments.
  • Learn new systems quickly, building strong technical and business acumen.
  • Ensure project teams fully understand functional requirements and business expectations.
  • Partner with creative teams to align UX and visual design with business needs.
  • Collaborate with QA to develop test strategies, identify test cases, and support regression testing.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on eCommerce solutions and platforms for both clients and project teams.
  • Create training materials and lead end-user or train-the-trainer sessions.
  • Document costs, risks, and benefits of solution alternatives and ensure alignment with requirements.
  • Define and manage change control processes; proactively identify and communicate risks.
  • Document and support daily operational processes to ensure data integrity and reliability.
