Jira Developer Role

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in configuring, customizing, and managing Jira instances, with expertise in SIL Programming and Groovy scripting. Additionally, the candidate should have knowledge of JIRA and Confluence cloud migration projects and Git Lab. This role involves working closely with various teams to understand their requirements and provide solutions that enhance productivity and workflow efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Configure and customize Jira projects, workflows, screens, and fields to meet business requirements.
• Expert in developing and maintaining custom Jira plugins and scripts using SIL Programming and Groovy scripting.
• Implement and manage Automation for Jira to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
• Integrate Jira with other tools and systems to streamline processes.
• Utilize Jira and Confluence REST APIs and webhooks for integrations and automation.
• Write SQL queries to query Jira tables in Postgres SQL.
• Experience with Git Lab.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Jira configurations and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement solutions.
• Maintain documentation for Jira configurations, customizations, and integrations.
• Stay updated with the latest Jira features and updates to leverage new functionalities.
• Execute JIRA and Confluence cloud migration projects, ensuring minimal disruption to users.
• Worked on migration strategies and timelines, and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure smooth transitions.
• Perform data migration and validation to ensure data integrity and consistency post-migration.
• Provide training and support to users on new cloud features and functionalities.
• Implement and manage cloud-based solutions for Jira and Confluence to enhance scalability and performance.
• Ensure compliance with cloud security best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Proven experience with Jira Service Management (JSM) administration, configuration, and migration, especially in cloud environments.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred

Skills:

• Experience with other Atlassian tools (e.g., Confluence, Bitbucket).
• Experience with JIRA and Confluence cloud migration projects.
• Strong understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance requirements.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and practices.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
