QA Tester – Desktop

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented QA Tester with 5 to 12 years of experience having solid hands on knowledge in testing desktop applications in a Windows environment. The ideal candidate will have prior exposure to restricted projects and must be a U.S. Citizen due to project compliance requirements.

• Develop clear, structured, and comprehensive test cases following established guidelines and standards.
• Ensure coverage of functional, regression, and edge-case scenarios.

• Execute test cases for desktop applications on Windows systems.
• Perform validation of Windows patches to ensure it has no impact on the existing desktop Apps. Conduct multiple rounds of testing to ensure stability, performance, and compatibility.
• Identify, document, and triage defects with clear, precise descriptions.
• Collaborate with development and support teams to ensure timely resolution.
• Track defect status through closure, ensuring thorough retesting.

• Produce high-quality test artifacts including test cases, execution logs, defect reports, and summary reports.
• Ensure all documentation adheres to project compliance and audit standards.

• Coordinate effectively with product, development, and support teams.
• Provide clear testing updates, risks, and issues in a timely manner.
• Maintain professionalism and strong interpersonal communication throughout all interactions.
• To adhere to ISMS Policies and Procedures.

• Proven experience in testing desktop applications on Windows environments.
• Test Automation skills to automate desktop applications.
• Strong ability to write structured, detailed test cases and test documentation.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Proficiency in reporting defects clearly and managing them through resolution.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Preference for candidates with prior experience working on restricted or classified projects.
