Job Description

A highly respected and well-established litigation firm is seeking a Medical Malpractice Associate Attorney with 4-8 years of experience to join its growing practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated litigator who wants to take ownership of cases, work closely with an experienced trial team, and continue developing as a courtroom advocate.

Position Overview

The firm is looking for an attorney with hands-on litigation experience in medical malpractice and/or personal injury matters who can manage a busy caseload from initial intake through resolution, including active participation in trial preparation and trial proceedings.

This role offers significant responsibility and the opportunity to work on complex and high-stakes cases in a collaborative, team-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handle litigation matters involving medical malpractice and personal injury from case intake through final resolution
  • Manage an active docket with minimal supervision
  • Conduct legal research and draft high-quality pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery
  • Take and defend depositions, manage discovery, and participate in motion practice
  • Assist with trial preparation and trial participation
  • Work collaboratively with partners, attorneys, and litigation staff
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, experts, and colleagues
Qualifications
  • 4-8 years of litigation experience, preferably in medical malpractice or personal injury
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cases independently
  • Superior legal writing and analytical skills
  • Experience with depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation
  • Unimpeachable ethics and professional judgment
  • Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented litigation environment
