As the Apprentice, Facilities Manager, you will act as a Facilities Specialist (FS) for a smaller number of designated restaurants while performing additional tasks such as managing minor remodel projects and reinvestment work, handling and resolving unplanned emergencies, assisting with budget forecasting and mentoring FS development. You will lead the Ownership program for your designated region, ensuring that FSs meet targeted participation levels for their applicable restaurants.

The AFM also identifies potential FS candidates and trains newly hired FSs within their region. You will work with the Facilities Manager (FM) to monitor the budget and communicate with your regional Ops team, and you will communicate with vendors regarding expectations and quality control for your region as it relates to daily M&R issues or reinvestment projects.

• Manage all facilities-related items within a microregion, including 4‑6 direct reports.
• Ensure regional Facilities Specialists meet/exceed budgetary compliance requirements related to M&R and identify M&R discrepancies.
• Mentor and develop FSs; demonstrate respect for them as individuals, appreciate their contributions, drive all aspects of their performance and ownership, and serve as a Facilities Leader for restaurants within your region.
• Ensure that FS inventory stock levels are appropriate, work trucks are clean, uniforms meet standards, and paperwork is completed promptly, while ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures (people, safety, assets, travel, inventory, and p‑card processes).
• Empower FSs to deliver high standards based on area restaurant visits, interactions with staff, and vendor relationships.
• Engage in clear, consistent communications with Wynkoop staff, property management, lease administration, field leadership, restaurant staff, and other Development staff.
• Lead minor remodel projects as assigned from the Regional FM (e.g., scoping work, bid requests, approvals, budgetary guidelines, and communication with all relevant departments).
• Attend kick‑off calls when the FM is unavailable.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) from a 4‑year college or university preferred.
• Facilities experience in a Specialist or Manager role.
• Knowledge of and ability to perform the Facilities Specialist job.
• Strong supervisory and organizational skills.
• Ability to identify top performers, empower teams, develop leaders, maintain high standards, and remove obstacles.
• Thorough knowledge of Chipotle culture and commitment to the company’s values and ownership mentality.
• Top performer with strong mentoring and leadership abilities.
• Proficiency in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding the primary language(s).
• PC literacy (Excel, Word, Reporting Services).
• Occasional travel.
• P‑Card Excellence Rating of 2 or better and minimal inventory variances of less than $300 per quarter for the past year.
• Sign‑off from RD/TD for mentoring/leadership abilities within the region.
• Ownership within assigned restaurants at a minimum of 85% average.

A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $63,000.00–$88,500.00. You are also eligible for annual cash bonuses and equity awards based upon performance and other factors. Actual compensation offered may vary depending on skill level, experience, and/or education.
