Starting Salary Range: $73,109.00-$96,115.00 (determined based on relevant years of work experience)
Position SummaryThe Project & Resource Manager supports JCCC by overseeing project intake, resource allocation, and workflow for marketing and creative initiatives, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with institutional goals and brand standards. This role defines cross‑functional teams, monitors project progress, identifies risks, and implements solutions to maintain smooth operations. The incumbent also analyzes workload and performance data to inform capacity planning, process improvements, and overall team efficiency.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in business, communications, marketing, project or operations management or related field.
- Minimum of 6 years as a working project manager or marketing professional in an enterprise environment.
- Experience or certification in project management or creative operations is a plus.
- Resource Allocation and Capacity Management:
- Evaluate incoming project briefs and work requests to assess scope, identify required tools, and establish realistic production timelines.
- Strategically assign cross‑functional teams based on individual expertise, project complexity, and real‑time bandwidth.
- Manage a “fast‑track” intake process for high‑priority executive‑level requests, ensuring urgent needs are met without compromising existing timelines.
- Actively balance competing priorities to ensure delivery commitments are met while maintaining team sustainability and quality.
- Project Management and Process Leadership:
- Serve as the primary owner and lead administrator of the department’s project management tools and systems, ensuring that they remain the single source of truth for departmental productivity.
- Lead status meetings and maintain a centralized end‑to‑end production schedule for active initiatives to provide high‑level visibility and transparency to work volume.
- Establish standard workflows and facilitate ongoing training and support to ensure project management process adoption.
- Continuously refine workflows, intake processes, and status reporting to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Maintain a clear understanding of active project status; identify and resolve issues that threaten timely project completion early to ensure an effective and efficient availability of department resources.
- Project Execution:
- Monitor project communication and timelines throughout the production lifecycle.
- Proactively identify bottlenecks, risks, or scope changes that could impact delivery.
- Develop and implement contingency plans for high priority or at‑risk projects. Ensure final output aligns with the project brief, and required assets are completed on deadline.
- Workflow Optimization:
- Analyze workload, utilization, and time‑to‑completion to identify trends and constraints.
- Identify process inefficiencies and recommend data‑driven improvements to increase delivery and quality.
- Forecast future resource needs based on demand patterns and historical performance.
- Provide leadership with actionable insights to staffing decisions, prioritization, and long‑term capacity planning.
