Job Description & How to Apply Below
* Location:
** On-Site Hugoton, Kansas Plant
** Position Overview
** We are launching a new manufacturing facility in Hugoton, Kansas, and are seeking an experienced Senior Production Scheduler to establish and lead the site’s finished‑goods scheduling processes. This role is critical for building the scheduling framework from the ground up, optimizing production flow, and ensuring strong service performance from day one.
You will thrive in a fast‑moving, dynamic startup environment that demands proactive thinking, rapid problem solving, and the ability to build structure where none exists yet.
Experience with finite‑capacity scheduling and SAP planning (SAP PP; PP/DS preferred) is essential.
** What You’ll Do
**** Production Scheduling
*** Develop and maintain the finite‑capacity production schedule for finished goods, ensuring feasibility against real equipment and resource constraints.
* Translate the Master Production Schedule (MPS) into executable daily and shift‑level plans.
* Optimize sequencing to minimize changeovers and maximize throughput, especially during early ramp‑up.
* Respond quickly and effectively to operational disruptions, including equipment downtime, material shortages, labor constraints, and startup adjustments.
** Startup & Process‑Building
*** Play a key role in designing and establishing scheduling processes, rules, and master data for a brand‑new facility.
* Partner closely with Operations, Engineering, and Quality to ensure schedules reflect actual startup conditions.
* Recommend and implement improvements to stabilize and optimize scheduling as the site scales.
* Help shape the long‑term production‑scheduling model as volumes grow.
** Cross‑Functional Collaboration
*** Collaborate with Supply Planning, Manufacturing, Maintenance, Logistics, and Quality to align on capacity, priorities, and production readiness.
* Provide clear, timely communication of schedule changes and impacts.
* Participate in daily and weekly operational meetings, offering insight into constraints, capacity, and upcoming risks.
** Systems & Data
*** Use SAP PP / PP‑DS or equivalent planning tools to build and analyze production schedules.
* Own master data related to routings, run rates, lead times, calendars, and capacity constraints.
* Support the integration of advanced planning & scheduling tools as the facility matures.
** Performance Tracking & Continuous Improvement
*** Monitor key performance indicators, including schedule adherence and production attainment.
* Conduct root cause analyses for variances and drive corrective actions.
* Identify opportunities to streamline and improve planning and scheduling processes as production scales.
** About You
** You bring 3–5+ years of hands‑on experience in production scheduling, finite‑capacity scheduling, or manufacturing planning, ideally within a fast‑paced or startup manufacturing environment. You have strong proficiency with SAP planning tools (SAP PP required; PP/DS or APS tools highly preferred) and a proven ability to build schedules that reflect true equipment and labor constraints.
You communicate clearly, work collaboratively with cross‑functional partners, and adapt quickly when plans change. You’re analytical, highly organized, and able to make informed decisions even with incomplete information. A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is preferred, as is experience in CPG, food & beverage, or other high‑mix environments. Exposure to Lean, TPM, or continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
Above all, you’re proactive, resourceful, and energized by the challenge of building new processes from the ground up.
** Who Will Succeed in This Role
*** Someone self‑driven, proactive, and ready to dive into issues without waiting for direction.
* A person comfortable with ambiguity and capable of building structure in a startup environment.
* An agile thinker who moves quickly, makes sound decisions, and adapts to constant change.
* A strong communicator who can influence and collaborate with manufacturing teams on the shop floor.#LI-AM1#LI-Onsite We understand your resume might not be up to date and recommend…
