1st and 2nd shift available (4-day work week/weekends off)
2nd Shift: Monday – Thursday 5:00 pm – 3:30 am ($1.75/hour Shift differential)
Starting wage: $18.50
Overall Goal of PositionProduce product by keeping packaging machines working efficiently/effectively.
Job SummaryPrimary responsibilities of a Machine Operator include properly operating production equipment to ensure continuous product flow, supporting quality assurance activities, and timely completion of all required production documentation.
What will you do?- Operate vertical form or horizontal fill equipment with Programmable Logic Control (PLC) electronics.
- Take action necessary to insure continuous product flow.
- Assist with troubleshooting system problems.
- Complete required QA and production reports. Communicate clearly with others in processing and support positions.
- Safely operate pallet jack to move materials.
- Perform area-wide and system cleaning (5s) to meet Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) expectations.
- Adhere to all safety, operating, Safe Quality Food (SQF), and GMP procedures/policies.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Prior Machine Operator experience.
- Manufacturing Experience in food a plus.
- Initiative to organize and accurately perform all job functions
- Ability to effectively work at line speeds in accordance with company production standards.
- Curious, with desire to continuously learn and to support continuous improvement.
- Possesses a strong attention to detail.
- Self-starter with the capacity to work with minimal supervision as well as work as part of a team.
- Can easily adapt to change in the work environment.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
- Ability to regularly stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
- Read and interpret documents.
