The TVM Assembly Technician is responsible for the hands-on assembly, wiring, and integration of electrical, electronic, and mechanical components used in Ticket Vending Machines (TVMs). This position follows detailed assembly documentation, engineering drawings, schematics, and bills of materials to build and integrate TVM modules and completed machines while maintaining high standards for quality, workmanship, and safety.
The ideal candidate has experience with electronics assembly, wiring, soldering, crimping, and mechanical assembly and is comfortable working with small components and detailed documentation.
Duties and Responsibilities- Follow company policies, procedures, safety requirements, and established production processes.
- Assemble and integrate electrical, electronic, mechanical, and electromechanical components used in Ticket Vending Machines.
- Assemble TVM modules and subassemblies by combining sheet metal components, printed circuit boards, cables, wire harnesses, connectors, and other components according to assembly documentation.
- Cut and prepare wire, cable, and vinyl tubing to specified lengths.
- Route, bundle, secure, and terminate wiring and cables according to drawings and assembly instructions.
- Operate wire crimping tools and inspect terminals for proper crimp quality and placement.
- Perform hand soldering and other soldering applications as required for TVM assembly.
- Use a solder pot for pre-tinning wires, terminals, and components when required.
- Install connectors and wiring while verifying correct polarity, pinouts, and component orientation.
- Insert and install electronic components into printed circuit boards according to assembly documentation.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, electrical schematics, bills of materials (BOMs), work instructions, and assembly documentation.
- Perform mechanical assembly using hand tools and other production equipment.
- Inspect completed assemblies to verify workmanship, proper installation, and compliance with specifications.
- Identify and communicate assembly issues, discrepancies, or defects to the appropriate supervisor or engineering personnel.
- Maintain accurate production documentation and complete assigned work within established schedules.
- Support timely completion of TVM assemblies to meet production and delivery requirements.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement of assembly processes.
- Initiate Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) with supervisor approval when required.
- Properly use and care for company equipment, tools, materials, and other assets.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Strong mechanical and electrical/electronic assembly skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic assembly and wiring issues.

- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity when working with small components.
- Ability to safely and effectively use hand tools, crimping tools, soldering equipment, and other assembly equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
- Minimum of 18 months of experience in electronics, electrical, electromechanical, or similar manufacturing assembly preferred.
- Experience assembling electrical/electronic equipment, wire harnesses, cables, or mechanical/electromechanical assemblies preferred.
- Experience with soldering and wire crimping required or strongly preferred.
- Experience working to IPC-A-610 or equivalent workmanship standards desired.
- Experience reading engineering drawings, electrical schematics, assembly drawings, and bills of materials preferred.
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment is a plus.
