Job Summary
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIESThe essential functions of this position include but are not limited to the following:
* Safe and effective operation and minor adjustments of all packaging equipment.
* Proper handling, packaging, labeling, coding and marking of product.
* Accurate and timely sampling of materials and communication to lab.
* Accurate and timely documentation of your production day.
* Safe, healthy and clean work environment.
* Report all accidents or near misses to Lead/Supervisor.
* Willing to support other production lines and assist Spray Operators.
* Regular on time attendance.
* Proper and timely communication of equipment performance to Operators/Leads.
* Effective evaluation of the quality of all packaging raw materials consumed in the operation. Report any defects you encounter to Lead/Supervisor.
* All product change overs are completed in an efficient and timely manner.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
* High school diploma or GED equivalent
* Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
* Ability to work independently and with a group in accordance with the company safety & sanitation standards.
* Basic computer skills:
Access, Outlook and SharePoint.
* Ability to lift up to 55 lbs.
* Ability to work on your feet the majority of the day.
* Moderate to heavy stair climbing (including vertical ladders)
WORKING CONDITIONS
This position operates in a production/plant environment 95% of the time. This position requires lifting up to 55 lbs. (25 kg). Incumbent must be willing to work in hot and/or cold environments. Incumbent must also be willing to work in a dusty environment and be willing/able to wear half or full-face respirators.
