Direct Hire | Overland Park, KS Morgan Hunter is partnering with a well-established organization in the Overland Park area to add a Events Coordinator to its team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is outgoing, energetic, and enjoys building relationships, networking, and getting involved in the community. This role combines community outreach, business development, event coordination, and relationship building.
The ideal candidate is a confident people person who enjoys creating new connections, can take ownership of their work, and is excited to bring new ideas to help grow awareness and engagement.
- Identify, coordinate, and attend community outreach and promotional events
- Build relationships with local businesses, organizations, and community partners
- Attend networking events and identify new opportunities to expand community presence
- Engage with prospective clients and promote available services
- Coordinate event schedules, logistics, materials, and participant sign-ups
- Guide and encourage team members participating in outreach events
- Develop creative ideas for new outreach opportunities and community partnerships
- Assist with social media content related to events and promotional efforts
- Track event results and maintain records to measure the effectiveness of outreach efforts
- Manage event-related expenses and work within an established budget
- Previous experience in community outreach, sales, recruiting, marketing, networking, events, or a similar people-facing role preferred
- Outgoing and confident personality with the ability to comfortably approach and engage new people
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to independently develop new opportunities and take ownership of projects
- Highly organized, dependable, and comfortable managing multiple events and priorities
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point
- Willingness to learn and confidently communicate information about the organization’s services
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel locally for events
- Flexibility to attend occasional evening and weekend events
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
