Job Overview

Saint Luke’s South in Overland Park is seeking a Nursing Assistant to join our team. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), a nursing assistant, a patient care tech, or someone interested in becoming a nursing assistant and providing patient care. Candidates who are not certified or do not have applicable experience will receive 6 weeks of full‑time on‑the‑job training to learn the position.

Full‑time shift, 2–12‑hour shifts per week with some weekend requirements. Seasonal or temporary employment is not accommodated.

• Provides patient care under the direction and supervision of an RN or LPN.
• Performs direct and indirect patient care tasks.
• Assists with activities of daily living such as bathing, hygiene, elimination, toileting, nutrition, feeding, hydration, ambulation, and positioning.
• Anticipates the patient’s family needs in a proactive fashion.
• Individualizes and modifies care according to the patient’s needs.
• Collaborates with other health care team members to enhance patient care.

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), nursing assistant, or patient care tech experience; 0–1 year of applicable experience.
• Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
• Strong communication and time‑management skills.
• Team oriented, eager to expand skills, and possess a strong attention to detail.

Starting pay is $17.50 per hour, plus night and weekend differentials when applicable.
