RN-Residency; New Grad - Saint Luke's South Graduates

Overview

New graduate registered nurses (BSN or ADN) will be welcome to the Saint Luke’s South Hospital in Overland Park through our 12‑month nurse residency program based on the National Council of State Boards of Nursing’s Transition to Practice model.

• Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care, delegate patient‑care tasks, and supervise other patient‑care staff.
• Coordinate the plan of care for assigned patients and collaborate with the health‑care team to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Participate in the residency program, working closely with experienced nurses and clinical educators for competency development.
• Engage in professional development activities, shared governance, and integration into the Saint Luke’s community.

• Registered Nurse (BSN or ADN) with less than one year of experience.
• Basic Life Support certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
• Strong commitment to patient care and professional growth.
