Job Description

Saint Luke’s South Hospital in Overland Park is hiring for an Oncology Clinic Nurse for their Oncology Clinic. This position is part of a rapidly growing program and will assist with care coordination, research studies, provide patient and family education, scheduling, triage, assist with procedures, and collaborate with a multi‑disciplinary innovative care team committed to innovation and improving patient outcomes. This is a high volume fast‑paced Magnet designated clinic.

This clinic is INCP and QOPI Certified.

HOURS:
Monday – Friday 8 AM to 4:30 PM.

May be asked to float to other locations:
Plaza, North Kansas City, Lees Summit

Responsibilities
  • Phone triage.
  • Schedule emergent‑need appointments.
  • Patient follow‑up calls.
  • Patient education on particular procedures and processes.
  • Subject matter expert in respective specialty for hospital RNs in the units.
  • Regularly meets with other disciplines to share best practices on care treatments.
  • Care for patients with a long‑term treatment process.
Job Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
  • Basic Life Support certification — American Heart Association or Red Cross.
  • ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate — Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation.
  • Registered Nurse license.
  • Associate Degree in Nursing.
