Job Summary
The Transplant Coordinator functions as a nurse in an expanded role, coordinating all potential transplant patient evaluations and acting as a liaison with the transplant team, nephrologists, consulting services, dialysis facilities, dietitians, and social workers regarding pre‑transplant patients. The coordinator presents and schedules pre‑operative teaching for recipients and living donors, manages the flow of patients on the UNOS waiting list in partnership with OPO, and is available on‑call for recipient and donor calls.
TravelRequirements
Operates out of Wichita, KS and Springfield, MO; travel to each location once a month is required.
Qualifications- Registered Nurse (RN) with an RN diploma.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience.
