Position: LPN (CAH)

Kiowa District Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Critical Access Hospital team.

As an LPN, you will provide high‑quality care to patients while collaborating with physicians, nurses, therapists, laboratory staff, and other healthcare professionals to achieve exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high‑quality nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders, nursing standards, and individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately while monitoring patient response.
  • Assess patients, recognize changes in condition, and communicate concerns promptly to providers and the healthcare team.
  • Serve as the Charge Nurse during assigned shifts, coordinating patient care and supporting nursing operations.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, laboratory staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.
  • Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and recovery goals.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the medical record.
  • Support patient safety initiatives and infection prevention practices.
  • Provide compassionate care that promotes dignity, comfort, healing, and positive patient experiences.
  • Help fulfill KDH's mission of providing Quality C.A.R.E. Close to Home.

Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Current Kansas LPN license in good standing.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Strong clinical assessment and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team.

  • Commitment to providing exceptional patient care and customer service.
