RN Surgical Services OR Manager RN Surgical Services OR Manager Job Summary Overland Park Regional Medical Center, a 340+ bed facility and Level II Trauma Center, is seeking a dedicated RN Surgical Services OR Manager. This role provides nursing leadership for assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care within the Operating Room. The OR consists of 11 suites and performs approximately 550 cases per month.
The RN Surgical Services OR Manager assists the Director of Perioperative Services in planning, directing, and managing pre‑admission testing, pre‑operative, operative, and post‑operative staff to ensure quality service on a 24‑hour basis. This position requires collaboration with physicians and other departments to meet patient and family needs while managing resources in a fiscally responsible manner and supporting the hospital mission in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Provides nursing leadership for assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in the Operating Room.
- Assists the Director of Perioperative Services in planning, directing, and managing pre‑admission testing, pre‑operative, operative, and post‑operative staff.
- Collaborates with physicians and other departments to meet patient and family needs.
- Manages resources in a fiscally responsible manner.
- Supports the hospital mission in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Oversees approximately 40 FTEs.
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or holds an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation.
- Minimum of 3 years of recent acute care Operating Room (OR) management experience.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Certification in area of specialty (CPAN).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities.
- Ability to achieve and maintain BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.

- End Time: 7:00 PM

- Schedule:
Managers work business hours Monday through Friday but are required to be on call, and those hours can vary greatly depending on the needs of the unit. - Weekend Rotation:

- Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state(s) of practice and/or active compact license.
- Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
