Job Title: Registered Nurse - Operating Room
Location: Overland Park, KS
Type: Full-Time/ Permanent
Shift & Schedule:
Day
Shift: 5 x 8-Hour Shifts | Start Time: 6:45 AM
Night
Shift: 3 x 12-Hour Shifts | Start Time: 7:00 PM
Pay: Up to $46/hr
Night Shift Differential: $4/hr
Relocation Assistance: Available on a Case-by-Case Basis
Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Registered Nurse - Surgery / Operating Room for an exciting Local job in Overland Park, KS.
Responsibilities
- Assess and evaluate patients prior to surgery.
- Educate patients and families regarding surgical procedures and perioperative care.
- Prepare patients for surgery, including IV therapy, medication administration, and surgical site verification.
- Participate in surgical safety protocols, including briefings, time-outs, debriefings, and universal protocols.
- Monitor and respond to patient emergencies.
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered nursing care using evidence-based practices.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Assess, monitor, document, and communicate changes in patient condition.
- Provide discharge and follow-up education to patients and caregivers.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) License in the State of Kansas.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN, or BSN).
- Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room RN experience.
- Scrub and Circulating experience.
- Acute Care experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required within 30 days of hire.
- Experience working in a Level II Trauma Center.
- Strong perioperative nursing and patient assessment skills.
- Excellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment.
