Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) – Overland Park, KS

A healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care across multiple inpatient units. This role is ideal for a flexible and adaptable nursing professional who thrives in diverse clinical environments and is committed to delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver direct patient care across multiple assigned units
  • Assess, monitor, and evaluate patient conditions while identifying changes that require intervention
  • Administer medications, treatments, and therapies according to physician orders
  • Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
  • Educate patients and family members regarding treatment plans, medications, and recovery expectations
  • Ensure compliance with clinical policies, procedures, and patient safety standards
  • Adapt quickly to varying unit workflows, patient populations, and care needs
  • Support continuity of care and contribute to positive patient outcomes
Qualifications
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility for licensure
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or ability to obtain
  • Previous acute care nursing experience preferred
  • Experience caring for medical-surgical, telemetry, orthopedic, rehabilitation, or similar patient populations preferred
  • Strong clinical assessment, organizational, and critical-thinking skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
