Registered Nurse - PreOp​/PACU Float

Pre Op Pacu Registered Nurse

We are hiring a Pre Op Pacu Registered Nurse for our Surgical Services Float Pool team. This is a full time day shift position that will float between four of our main hospital locations in Lee's Summit, Overland Park, North Kansas City, and Plaza areas.

Hours of shift may vary between 8, 10 or 12 hours based on organizational needs. Schedules are written 8 – 10 weeks in advance. Part Time Days 24 hours per week.

In this position you will work with various conditions, procedures, and acuity levels. Our Plaza location is a Magnet Level 1 Trauma Academic Medical Center. Responsibilities:

• Functions independently and accountable for utilizing the nursing process.
• Coordinates the care for a group of patients with the Multidisciplinary Team.
• Delegates tasks appropriately.
• Identifies hospital resources.
• Serves as a clinical resource for new employees.
• Demonstrates positive formal or informal leadership within unit or department.

Applicable

Experience:

1 year Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- American Heart Association or Red Cross, Basic Life Support
- American Heart Association or Red Cross, Pediatric Advanced Life Support
- American Heart Association or Red Cross, Registered Nurse (KS) - National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NURSYS), Registered Nurse (MO) - National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NURSYS) Associate Degree
