Overview
Metro Infectious Disease Consultants is seeking a part‑time Registered Nurse for supervision and administration of infusion therapy at the clinic located in Overland Park, KS. This role requires willingness/ability to travel locally to the clinics in Kansas City, MO and Lee's Summit, MO.
Schedule:
3 days/week (24 hours);
Tuesday + Wednesday + Friday.

- $55,000‑$60,000 ($35/hour + monthly bonus)
- Place peripheral lines (peripherally inserted central catheter) for new patients, teach infusion patients how to self‑administer medications, and document the same in the medical record.
- Review and chart daily laboratory results and pass information to physicians and/or patients as needed.
- E‑prescribe prescriptions per doctor's order and communicate to pharmacies.
- Receive and return patient and other telephone calls.
- Review EMR charts for next day appointments, ordering lab results, consult reports or notes as necessary, and document all required fields in the EMR to be eligible for meaningful use.
- Respond to telephone calls, meet patients in the office, and schedule patients to come to the office as needed.
- Participate in quality assurance and educational activities as requested.
- Use clinical judgment in evaluation activities to meet patient care needs and establish priorities.
- Monitor the safety and effectiveness of the environment and equipment.
- Participate in activities to facilitate good interpersonal communications with the facility.
- Support professional practice by observing standards of nursing practice, JCAHO, state and local laws, and MIDC policies.
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- Current KS/MO RN license.
- At least two (2) years of RN office practice experience, preferably in an infusion‑related practice.
- Infusion experience.
- Chemo experience preferred but not required.
- Proof of current vaccinations, including recommended boosters for work with immunocompromised patients (measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, hepatitis A & B, influenza, and COVID‑19).
