Job Summary
As a Registered Nurse at Research Medical Center, you deliver safe, high‑quality, patient‑centered care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. You advocate for patients and families, implement nursing models such as "Assess‑Perform‑Teach‑Manage," and support overall departmental performance.
Responsibilities- Assess patient pain regularly and promote effective pain management, including reassessments after appropriate intervention.
- Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s).
- Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
- Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate patient needs to resolve them proactively.
- Teach patients, families, and caregivers about the patient’s medical condition, treatment plan, medications, side effects, and follow‑up measures.
- Translate complex medical terminology to ensure complete understanding.
- Teach non‑medicinal follow‑up measures such as healthy diet, exercise, disease prevention, and lifestyle changes.
- Prepare patients and families/caregivers for future self‑management.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date (RN).
- Registered Nurse diploma required.
- Emergency Nurse, Pediatric Care (PALS), or Pediatric Advance Life Support certification required within 1 year of employment start date.
- Advanced Trauma Care for Nurse or Trauma Nursing Core Course certification required within 1 year of employment start date.
- No travel required.
- No experience required.
