Job Title:
Registered Nurse – Cardiovascular (RN‑CV)
The RN‑CV assists Interventional Cardiologists and Cardiovascular Specialists in caring for patients undergoing a wide range of procedures, including diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations, pacemaker and implantable cardioverter‑defibrillator (ICD) implants, peripheral vascular interventions, structural heart disease interventions, and other cardiac and vascular procedures. The incumbent implements and performs cardiac catheterization care plans using A.O.R.N. aseptic technique, knowledge of cardiac and peripheral anatomy, radiographic imaging procedures, standards of nursing care, and cardiovascular technology principles.
Scope of Work:
The RN‑CV is required to work at multiple Saint Luke’s campuses (East, Plaza, North, and South) and to respond to calls within 30 minutes. The position involves multi‑campus coverage and on‑call duties across the four hospitals.
- Assist physicians with cardiac catheterization and other vascular procedures.
- Apply aseptic technique and maintain sterile fields during interventions.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs, rhythm, and procedural status throughout the procedure.
- Coordinate with radiology, anesthesia, and other nursing staff to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Execute post‑procedure care and documentation following institutional protocols.
- Respond to call requests promptly (within 30 minutes) and provide coverage at all campuses as needed.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- Minimum 1 year of experience in advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) and basic life support (BLS). A.A.R.H. or Red Cross certification is required.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication and patient‑care skills.
Full Time – Day shift.
