Registered Nurse RN Emergency Room Mid Shifts

HCA Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for our Emergency Room Mid Shifts within our Healthcare & Medical Services department. As an ER RN, you will play a key role in delivering high‑quality, patient‑centered care in a fast‑paced emergency setting, caring for patients with a wide range of acute and complex conditions. You will perform comprehensive assessments, triage patients based on acuity, administer medications and treatments, initiate and manage IV therapy, monitor vital signs and patient responses, and collaborate closely with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized plans of care.

You will use evidence‑based nursing practices, follow all hospital policies and regulatory standards, and document care accurately in the electronic medical record.

Working mid shifts, you will help ensure continuous coverage of the emergency department, supporting smooth patient flow from arrival through discharge or admission. You will provide compassionate education and emotional support to patients and families, explain tests and procedures, and advocate for patient safety, comfort, and dignity at all times. In this role, you will respond rapidly to changes in patient condition, participate in emergency codes, perform CPR and other life‑saving interventions, and assist with trauma care, stroke protocols, cardiac care pathways, and other time‑sensitive clinical workflows.

You will also contribute to maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient ER environment, including infection prevention, equipment checks, and adherence to quality and safety initiatives.
