Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) – Overland Park, KS
A healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care across multiple inpatient units. This role is ideal for a flexible and adaptable nursing professional who thrives in diverse clinical environments and is committed to delivering exceptional patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Deliver direct patient care across multiple assigned units
- Assess, monitor, and evaluate patient conditions while identifying changes that require intervention
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies according to physician orders
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
- Educate patients and family members regarding treatment plans, medications, and recovery expectations
- Ensure compliance with clinical policies, procedures, and patient safety standards
- Adapt quickly to varying unit workflows, patient populations, and care needs
- Support continuity of care and contribute to positive patient outcomes
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility for licensure
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or ability to obtain
- Previous acute care nursing experience preferred
- Experience caring for medical-surgical, telemetry, orthopedic, rehabilitation, or similar patient populations preferred
- Strong clinical assessment, organizational, and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
