Registered Nurse – IMC​/PCU​/Stepdown

Job Summary:

Provide specialized nursing care to patients with moderate physiologic instability in the Tele/Pulm Step Down Unit. Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver comprehensive patient management and ensure optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and monitor oxygen therapy, including nasal cannula, BIPAP/CPAP, Air Vo, and other respiratory supports.
• Perform vital signs assessments every 4 hours and continuously monitor cardiac rhythms.
• Conduct blood glucose and neurological assessments at prescribed intervals.
• Document patient information accurately in the Meditech system and update care plans accordingly.
• Collaborate with team members to manage patient care and respond to changes in condition promptly.
• Follow unit policies and procedures, including equipment use and infection control protocols.

Qualifications:

• Active RN license with a minimum of 2 years’ clinical experience.
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Proven ability to care for cardiac and pulmonary patients with moderate instability.
• Strong skills in respiratory support management, vital sign assessment, and neurological monitoring.
• Demonstrate excellent communication, teamwork, and patient-centered care.
