American Traveler is seeking an RN for a Level 2 Trauma Center Emergency Department position on a 7P-7A schedule, requiring at least 2 years of ER/trauma experience and a KS or compact license.

• 24-bed Emergency Department in a Level 2 Trauma Center
• 1:4 patient ratios
• Unit staffed with 5 core RNs and unit secretary coverage 21 hours/day
• Uses Level 1 fluid warmer, GE monitor system, Artic Sun, Lifepak, and Alaris pumps
• Charting completed in Meditech
• Mid-shift scheduling pattern with shifts as early as 10a-2230 and as late as
• Every third weekend required
• Floating is rare and only occurs after other staff have been flexed home
• 13-week assignment on a 7P-7A schedule

• Active KS or compact RN license required
• BLS, ACLS, ENPC or PALS, TNCC, and NIH Stroke certifications required
• CEN or TCRN certification preferred
• CPI certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience as an Emergency/Trauma nurse in a Level 2 trauma center required
• Strong knowledge of trauma care, STEMI care, stroke care, sepsis management, and triage required
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration

• Perform all procedures associated with Level 2 trauma center emergency care
• Utilize AIDET communication standards and whiteboards to support positive patient experience
• Maintain a positive, can-do attitude aligned with unit culture
• Required uniform: cobalt blue top with black or cobalt blue pants, solid color, and closed toe shoes
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates are not accepted
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
