Role:
The Registered Nurse (RN) in Cardiac Care monitors and assesses patients with cardiac conditions, including post-operative open heart surgeries, catheterizations, and electrophysiology procedures.
Responsibilities:Provide high-level critical care, interpret ECGs, recognize arrhythmias, and respond to emergencies. Collaborate with cardiology team to deliver evidence-based care, ensuring patient safety and recovery. Support patient education and work in a specialized 29-bed unit caring for acute and chronic cardiac patients, including those receiving TAVR procedures outside the ICU.
Qualifications & Skills:RN license, Basic and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certifications (must be obtained within 30 days of employment), and diploma in nursing. Critical thinking, calm under pressure, and clinical expertise in cardiac telemetry are essential.
Key Duties:Monitor heart rhythms, analyze ECGs, intervene in emergencies, and support patient recovery from various cardiac conditions. Growth opportunities include transitioning to ICU, cath lab, EP lab, or leadership roles, with active support from leadership.
