Dickinson Animal Hospital offers a travel stipend of up to $2,500 for 2027 clinical year externships.
As part of National Veterinary Associates (NVA), Dickinson provides a supportive environment for veterinary students to gain hands‑on experience in a full‑service small animal general practice. The hospital is award‑winning, AAHA accredited, ABVP certified, and Fear‑Free certified.
Externship DetailsExterns will work closely with veterinarians to gain experience in:
- Physical exams and diagnostics
- Surgical procedures and dentistry services
- Treatment plans and medical management
- Client communication and teamwork
Externships typically last 2 to 8 weeks and offer exposure to small animal medicine in a well‑rounded, hands‑on setting.
StipendWe offer up to $2,500 to help with travel and living expenses for clinical year externs.
LocationDickinson, TX – a family‑friendly community located between Houston and Galveston, offering both small‑town charm and access to big‑city amenities.
