Marketing Intern

The Marketing Intern reports directly to the Division VP of Marketing for HCA Healthcare’s Mid America Division. The intern will be involved in a variety of community engagement activities for the division, including writing and editing content, managing details related to events, managing and completing spreadsheets related to partnerships and plans. In addition, the intern will be involved in the development and posting of content (written, video, etc.)

on hospital and system websites and social media sites. The intern will analyze data, develop reports and presentations, and assist with a wide variety of charitable, school and business partnership activities. The intern should be able to manage multiple tasks, be results oriented, have strong written and verbal communication skills, be a self‑starter and flexible regarding tasks. The intern will interact with other members of the marketing team, colleagues at hospitals/facilities within the system and staff at partner organizations.

• Effective management and communication skills; both orally and written.
• Ability to effectively present information to top management and public groups.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
• Associate’s degree required.
• Requires the ability to travel from one location to another within the Division. May be needed to work early morning, evening and weekend hours. Position includes overnight travel on an as needed basis.
• Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to document, develop and communicate necessary information. Requires lifting papers or boxes up to 20 pounds occasionally. Work may be stressful at times.
