Role Overview

As a Retail Selling Flex Colleague, you blend sales that deliver results with genuine hospitality to create standout shopping experiences. You take the time to understand each customer’s needs, offer personalized recommendations, and connect them with the right products and services. Whether on the sales floor or in a fitting room, your warmth, product knowledge, and personal approach turn everyday visits into memorable moments.

We expect you to stay focused on achieving selling goals by driving performance through customer engagement and smart selling behaviors. Each interaction should build trust, meet sales targets, and inspire loyalty, making every visit both meaningful and successful.

This role goes far beyond just being a cashier. Every day, every hour is spent putting the customer at the heart of everything we do. Passion for selling, reaching goals, working as a team, and creating amazing experiences through genuine hospitality are essential. You will also help keep the shopping space clean, organized, and inviting so every customer feels welcome the moment they walk in.

Responsibilities
  • Begin each day energized and ready to make an impact, wearing your name badge with pride, greeting teammates with a warm hello, and ensuring the sales floor is clean, organized, and prepared.
  • Review sales goals, learn about new arrivals and top‑selling items, and stay up to date on current trends and promotions.
  • On the floor, focus on the customer by offering a warm welcome, making eye contact, and creating friendly, personal conversations to build lasting relationships.
  • Throughout the day, maintain a shoppable space by recovering the floor and fitting rooms, updating signs and pricing, and supporting any needed merchandise moves.
  • Finish each shift strongly by sharing Loyalty program benefits, ensuring customers have everything they need, and ending with a sincere thank‑you, often walking the package around and using the customer’s name.
  • Support one another with honesty, care, and collaboration to better serve customers and communities.
  • Strive for continuous improvement: take pride in your work, achieve sales goals, and learn from each other to deliver results for the store and the team.
Work Hours

Flex Team Colleagues have minimum work requirements of 42 hours per quarter for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd fiscal quarters (February–April, May–July, August–October). During the 4th fiscal quarter (November–January) a minimum of 60 hours is required. Hours may change, and weekend shifts may be required.

  • Understand and communicate effectively with customers, co‑workers, and supervisors.
  • Read and understand employment policies and safety rules/procedures in English.
  • Comfortable communicating and collaborating with customers and colleagues.
  • Meet daily sales goal challenges.
  • Responsible for acquiring new customers by opening credit accounts and sharing loyalty benefits.
  • Enjoy meeting people, learning about them, and sharing information.
  • Resourceful, eager to start new ventures, and adaptable to changing priorities; can work independently and thrive in team dynamics.
  • Comfortable handling electronic devices.
Physical Requirements
  • Talking, lifting, constant moving, standing, and reaching with arms and hands.
  • Stand for at least two consecutive hours, lift at least 25 lbs., stoop, kneel, crouch, climb ladders, reach—including above eye level.
