Compensation: Base salary based on experience, plus an uncapped commission structure that scales up based on performance

The Role
Carrier Sales Representatives are responsible for finding the trucking companies that physically move our clients' freight using our proprietary technology. They build and develop carrier relationships and negotiate competitive carrier rates while maintaining company revenue and margin goals. Carrier Sales Representatives also ensure that freight is picked up, transported, and delivered on time to meet or exceed our clients' expectations.
Key Responsibilities- Source and secure carrier capacity through negotiation on a spot and transactional basis, meeting individual, team, and company revenue and margin goals
- Prospect and cultivate new carrier leads to establish and grow available capacity
- Track shipments proactively and ensure timely pickup and delivery of customer freight
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective carriers
- Use our proprietary technology platform to match available carrier capacity with customer freight
- Communicate effectively with carriers, customers, and internal teams to resolve issues and keep shipments on track
- Consistently meet or exceed performance metrics and KPIs established by leadership
- Other duties as assigned
- Previous experience in carrier sales is preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Natural negotiator with the drive to build lasting relationships
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Self-motivated, competitive, and coachable
- Comfortable learning new software and technology platforms
