Security Officer Hospital Corridor Patrol – Overland Park, KSServe and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as healthcare. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with exceptional customer service and communication. - Position Type:
Full Time - Pay Rate: $21.02 / Hour
- Job Schedule:
- Wed: 02:00 PM – 10:00 PM
- Thur: 02:00 PM – 10:00 PM
- Sat: 06:00 AM – 06:00 PM
- Sun: 06:00 AM – 06:00 PM
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations calmly and problem‑solving, documenting details and communicating with site contacts and emergency personnel as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor entrances, lobbies, hallways, and other assigned areas, manage access, observe activity, and report concerns according to site protocols.
- Support a professional atmosphere by offering directions, assisting with visitor questions, and reporting maintenance, hazard, or security‑related issues to the appropriate contacts.
- At least 1 year of security‑related experience.
- Required vaccinations for a hospital environment.
- Ability to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
- Proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Minimum age 21 years.
- Ability to restrain individuals as permitted by law and site policy.
- As a condition of employment, subject to a background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.

- As a condition of employment, subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
