Reproductive Technician

We have an immediate opening for a dynamic, detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Reproductive Technician. Reporting to our local Technician Team Leader and working as a key member of our Alta Genetics USA Tech Services Inc. company, this role is responsible for providing heat detection and insemination services to assigned customers.

Location: working in and around Garden City, KS

• Accurately follow on-farm procedures as designated by each individual technician
• Provide safe, efficient, and successful insemination of customer herds
• Collaborate with farm management and other farm advisors (Vet, Nutritionist, etc.) to integrate Alta Genetics services into farm management plans
• Ensure accurate data entry and protocol adherence
• Provide timely and accurate reports upon request
• Respond promptly to information requests
• Maintain professional and respectful relationships with internal and external customers
• Continuously develop skills and participate in ongoing training
• Implement and comply with company policies, programs, and directives
• Follow all health and safety policies and procedures

• Experience working with and handling cattle
• University education in Animal Science, Ag Science, or related fields
• Experience in heat detection on large farms preferred
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to learn and grow professionally and personally
• Computer skills required; experience with herd management software is a plus
